5 Important things to do to get approval from Google adsense

       'How to get approval from Google adsense?' is one of the  most searched questions in internet ever since Google adsense was launched.Google has certain policies or conditions on accepting blogs or websites for Google adsense.I'm going to explain some of the most important points from them.

#1 .Age of your blog/website

     Google never says anywhere in their conditions that your website/blog has to be certain days old to get approval from the Google adsense team.But it is safe to apply for Google adsense after 3 months you create your blog or website.You should utilize this time to create unique content and and increase the web traffic to your website or blog.But Google has a policy that if you are an Asian origin your blog or website should be 6 months old.It's pure racialism by the search giant but sorry to say that you have no other options.

#2.Quality Content

   Content in your website should be unique.It means you shouldn't just copy-paste content from other websites to create a fake web page.It should be clearly written in your words.Never apply for Google adsense with an empty webpage or blog.If you are a blogger you should have a minimum of 35 to 50 unique quality posts before you apply to Google adsense. That is why it is a good idea to take time and build a good blog with some loyal followers and good web traffic within the first 3-4 months.

#3.Clean design

     Clean webpage design is another factor which is really important in the case of Google adsense. Even though there are so many ad programs you can use parallel with Google adsense,it's good if you remove all of them just before you apply for Google adsense. Don't clutter your webpage with flashy banner ads or too bright fluorescent colors.And Google doesn't like too many exit links from your home page either.You can use any ad programs at the time period before you apply for Google adsense(first 3 to 6 months),if you are too desperate to make money from your blog or website.And you shouldn't sell backlinks on your website or blog.

#4.Search Engine Exposure(SEE)

  Even if you get approval from Google adsense,if you don't have any web traffic to your page you won't make any money.And most of the time Google reject webpages which doesn't have a minimum quality traffic.So i suggest you should really work on your search engine optimization(SEO) before you apply for Google adsense. You should submit your blog or website to many 'popular webpage directories'.And you should know 'how to increase organic web traffic to your blog or website?.'

#5.Form fill up

  Last but not the least,fill up the application form of Google adsense really carefully.You should give your real address and other details including full name.If you have any problems with your name then ask for help in Google adsense help forum.They are really fast in helping people especially regarding the names.

Comment spammers will have low page rank!!!

   Before telling you about the ways to block spam comments,let me tell you about the negative impacts on the page ranks of this comment spammers.

• According to new google search algorithm,if you are a spammer who leaves comments like "That's a very wonderful post.Now visit my page Link".Then Google is going to flag you and your webpage.And your Page rank will be reduced soon.
• I agree it feels 'cool' to be anonymous in the web world but it's not that cool to post your spam link on every possible posts of every blogs in the internet.So from today on,you will get to comment on this blog only if you have a google ID.This decision was hard for us to take.But after getting more than 100 anonymous spam comments a day,what option do we have?.
• Each and every comment posted by you will go through moderation and will not be published if found spamming and you might face permanent ban.

     Now let's see how many types of comment spams are there and how to block them.Not all spam comments includes spam links.Sometimes spam bots are just hunting for a vulnerable blog and once it's found the attack starts.Types of comment spam:

1. Sometimes there are comments which is not in English and most probably it will be an unknown language with strange links attached to it.Let me get this straight,if they know how to read your english language (or any language) posts,they should know how to type and comment in the same language.So make sure you accept comments only in the language of your blog or website.If it's not,mark it as a spam.
2. Then there are complimentary spam comments like,"great design" or "Great article" or "i loved this very much.I will bookmark this and will come to read it later.". These comments are more dangerous and makes your webpage looks less important or as a junk yard.If it's from 'anonymous' users,mark it as spam.
3. Comments which are filled with links.Mostly these links will be leading to some spam sites.Ignore them and mark it as spam or delete them.

How to stop these spammers from attacking your web property.

New word captcha is a pain in the blog.

Comments can be a really good source of information and an efficient way of engaging a site's users in discussions. This valuable content should not be replaced by gibberish nonsense keywords and links. For this reason there are many ways of securing your application and disincentivizing spammers.

• Disallow anonymous posting.
• Use CAPTCHAs and other methods to prevent automated comment spamming.(Be really carefull while doing this.Because the new captcha system is a big headache and your readers may not like to waste their time on the guess the word games.We really won't recommend this unless you are really fed up of spammers.)
• Turn on comment moderation.
• Use the "nofollow" attribute for links in the comment field.
• Disallow hyperlinks in comments.
• Block comment pages using robots.txt or meta tags.

Does pop-up ads increase your ad revenue?

      So many people believes pop-up ads create more revenue share comparing to other type of ad units.But it's one of the biggest online advertising myth and the truth is entirely different.

         What those ads actually does is makes the visitor angry and it annoys them,stops them from reading your content and most of the readers/visitors leaves your page/site without even reading your post and they never comes back.So your greediness to earn some more cents caused you losing a reader and an impression maker for your other normal ad units displayed in the site.

         Less ads is always good for a website or a blog.But if you are someone who wants to earn money from the blog then you need to focus on ads too.But take my advice,don't put pop-up ads or curser ads(which moves around with mouse arrow) in your page/blog/website.Put all the ads you need in your sidebars and footer.Or if it is a CPC ad,you can blend it in-between posts so that it won't disturb the readers eye.You really don't have to put CPM ads inside the posts/articles because anyway sidebars and footer of your page will load with the post.

     And there is no guarantee that your pop-up ad will be seen by a visitor because pop-up blockers are one of the most downloaded addons used in web browsers nowadays.So why to waste your time brain on pop-up ads??!!..

       Remember an angry and annoyed reader is more dangerous for your page than someone who never visited your page.

      A blog with super heavy traffic will create  super heavy earnings,undoubtedly.One of the most searched keyword in search engines is 'FREE'.People want to download free wallpapers for PC and mobile phone, free vectors, free textures, free ringtones and free themes for their mobile phones, free horoscope,free games, free downloadable songs and want to watch free movies.

 Now if you are able to provide any of these in your blog, that too copyright free,then you hit the jackpot for sure.

        If you know photoshop,or any other advanced photo editing software,create some standard resolution wallpapers.Let it be colorful.It is really easy,use your creativity and make the most beautiful and unique wallpapers.Once you have done,you can upload it directly to blogger or you can upload it in any photo hosting website and  post the links in your blog.

       Or create short soundclips and provide them as ringtones in your website/blog.People will rush like anything to your blog.

    The word 'Free' is a magical word.Even the richest guy will run behind 'Free Offers'.So once you have lots of quality content,you can use text-based ads like google adsense here.Google adsense works best at wallpaper sites/blogs.People clicks on the text ads without thinking and the cash register rings every second.

Google Adsense account got banned.What to do?

       I know this is one of the scariest topic for many.And many bloggers might have experienced this too.And you might have reached this page while searching about how to get your account back in active mode..

Let me explain you some google adsense policies first.


       In 80% of the cases google ban the publisher accounts for click frauds.And you will never get back your money once you are banned for click fraud.


Once you got the mail notification from google adsense team about the account cancelling or disabling you should read the e-mail carefully and understand if your account is disabled temporarily or it is permanent.

     If it is temporary ban google might have mentioned what is the problem in your blog/web page.And which of their adsense policy doesn't match with your blog.And it is easy to solve read carefully and do the necessary.Sometimes you have to remove some copyrighted material or you have to remove some link from the page.Do this first and click on the link which was provided in the notification mail for the appeal page.Fill up the form and wait for the adsense team to get back to you.

    And if you got banned permanently, i'm sorry to say that there is no solution to get your account back.Even though you have a chance to appeal and explain yourself,there is less than 1% chance to get your account back.


     You might be thinking i will start another g-mail id and i will open another adsense account.But forget it..Google knows your every movements in internet.Your ip address,your postal address, your name, your browser,your geographical location,they will manually check every thing and ban you within 24 hours after you create a new account.

March Traffic Report -Sudden jump in Traffic&earning increased 20 times!!!

      I am so happy while writing this article.One of my blog which reviews movies got a sudden increase in it's traffic on march month.And guess what, my earnings from that blog increased 20 times than the previous month..!!.I am not surprised by the web traffic because when considering the hard work i does on my blogs i got the result i expected.But i never knew that earnings will INCREASE 20 TIMES..!!!

   Ok lets check how this happened.I started my movie review blog on December 2011.As you can see from the image above i got 561 unique page views on the month of December.

     I kept quality content and tried different monetizing programs on the blog.And at last i zeroed in Contextweb ads and in-text ads.I have  a specific number of loyal followers and moviegoers.But that doesn't increase my traffic much i kept adding my blog address on all the blog directories i can put my hands on.

      Context web ads are not click based ads like Google adsense.They are CPMs.They pay you money per a certain number of impressions.This means a higher traffic can get me higher earnings.It was hard at first,less number of followers and very less traffic.But i didn't lost my hope because i knew that's how every new blog starts it's journey.Now when i checked last month's traffic..tadaaa...i have 9012 unique visitors on March 2012.And my Context web earnings increased big time.

5 Important tips for beginners in blogging

Keep it simple
The first and the most important advice i have to give beginners is keep your blog simple.Don't overdo it.Don't add lots of fancy widgets which is not useful.Don't use too many colors or too many font styles.It will make your reader hate your blog.They will never come back.So keep it simple.

Importance of links and connections
It is very important to be social in online if you have a website or blog.This means keep visiting other blogs,comment there if you like it.Discuss about some topic(which you like) in online forums or comment boxes.Let the world feel your presence.(But Remember, Give respect,Take respect-Dont be a bully).And don't forget to leave your blog url there.
       Post links of other websites like Wikipedia or Google or any other high ranking website or blogs in your site as a blog roll or link list or include them in your posts.This will increase your page ranking and the traffic to your page.But remember don't post links of the websites which has copyright content,like imdb.com.Google adsense' privacy policy won't allow you to do  this.They will ban you.And don't expect people to follow you if you don't follow them.

Not too many ads
Don't put too many different ads if you are a beginner.Try Google adsense for some months then you can get into other ad networks or monetizing programs according to your traffic and type of readers.

Interact with your readers
Interact with your loyal readers.Reply to their comments,thank them.Ask their opinions about something.This will make them feel to come back.Put a poll on your blog.Whatever you do,make sure no comments are left behind unanswered.

Don't change the topics too often
Don't change the topics of your posts too often.For example don't post the details of the latest Ferrari car model in next post if you talked about the rare snakes of amazon in previous post.People may not like this.You will lose the niche readers.

What you should not do with google adsense ?

   In this post i will talk about what you should not do with Google adsense or what to do for not getting banned by Google adsense.

 OK, so if you think that everyone who applies for a Google adsense account,that is not the case.Google won't approve everyone.And if you got an approval from Google adsense team,you are a lucky one.

Whatever monetizing program you joins once you got approval from the authorized people,they will be closely monitoring your site every day.

This is not like a software installation, so when you join one of these programs you should read their rules and policies.Clicking on 'i agree' without checking it won't work here.

Google adsense stops you from cheating your readers or cheating their advertisers by using click fraud and stuff like that.

What is click fraud?


This is one of the biggest problems many might face.

There are many different ideas and techniques to increase your adsense income.But clicking on your own ads is NOT one of them.Google adsense team takes this as a big crime and your adsense account will get banned FOREVER..!!!

Click Frauds includes you offering money to click on your adsense ads or you forcing a friend to click on your adsense ads.And an exchange deal for clicks that means i will click on your blog's adsense ads you click on mine is also includes in click fraud.

Any suspicious clicks from any IP might get you banned from Google.You will get a chance to appeal against Google's action and you have to explain everything in a form which they will provide you to fill up.But in most of the cases (especially bloggers) once Google banned you you are banned forever.

So keep monitoring your web traffic,your click stats and any suspiciously repeated clicks from the same IP, you should report this to Google adsense team with details.Because instead of you if they are contacting you first the result might be bad.You might get banned.

And this is the case in all advertising programs,you should not click on the ads which is showed on your site.


Don't force your readers to click


            According to google forcing your readers to click on your google adsense is also a crime.don't put 'click here' near the ads.Any kind of indications to click on your ads will get you banned from the adsense business.

Don't cheat your readers


Dont change the 'Ads by google' text to your page's background color.It will make it invisible and that is also comes under 'cheating'.Don't put titles for ad units like  'Special offers' or 'other links' or 'click here to know more'.

Yes people... its a bit hard to manage a google adsense account and wait to see those dollars increasing..

You will have options to block specific type of ads if you don't need it.If they cant meet your ask price they fill the ads with the back up ad tags so if you are starting try to put smaller values from 0.01$ to 0.75$..And see how it works then you can carry with bigger values..

And don't expect these ads to show up from the moment you copy paste the code in your site/blog.It will take minimum 3-4 days to start showing ads.

6 Google Adsense ad formats

      

      As i told in in my earlier post i will talk about adsense terms like CTR,CPM and others but i will do that while telling you more about different type of ads in Google AdSense.

Mainly there are 6 kinds of ads google adsense provides and each of them have it's own way of generating money for you.

1. Text ads : These are the most common ads Publishers use usually because it works well with a text rich blog.These are basically text based ads means ads in the form of text.adsense gives you freedom to customize text colors and font type.This kind of ads are CPC ads or Cost Per Click ads.When a visitor clicks on that ad you gets a certain amount of money.This ads has a highest CTR(Click Through Rate) because many times people misunderstands these ads for the text in your blog.
2. Image Ads : Image ads are graphic ads offered in several ad formats.In my Google AdSense tips for Beginners post i told you to opt for 'Image and Text' ads.So when you choose for both image and text ads increases the competition between ads to appear on your blog.And this might eventually end up by increasing a little bit of your usual revenue.Image ads alo works just like text ads in the case of earning money.It generates money when your visitor clicks on it.
3. Video ads/Rich media ads : I haven't seen much people using this type of ad.May be because it doesn't suit to all kind of blogs.This generates money when a visitor plays the video and then again he clicks on it when it is playing.I wont suggest this ad to you because if your blog is not video based,this may not work for you.
4. Link Units : Link units displays a bunch of links which is suitable for your blog page and when the user clicks on any of those, Google shows you a page of related ads.And when he clicks on them you get the money.Note that you are not earning anything until unless the visitor clicks on the ads on the page which opens up after they clicks on the link unit.
5. Mobile ads : Mobile ads are displayed when a visitor visits your blog's mobile version.(you will find your mobile version in template section if you are using blogger).This also works as CPC ads.
6. Feed ads : Last but not the least,feed ads.they are the ads which you can place in your feeds.And when the customer clicks on the ads you get the money.It's simple.To enable this sign in your adsense account and select adsense for feeds.

And CPM stands for 'cost per 1000 impressions'.

CPM ads will make you good money if you have really good blog traffic.If one ad's CPM is $0.20 that means when it will complete showing the same ad 1000 times in your blog/site you earn $0.20 without a click.So visitors traffic plays a main important role in this.

7 Must know Google AdSense tips for Beginners

In this post i will give some Google adsense basic tips for beginners.So as i told in my previous post once you got approved by Google's adsense team you can start placing the ads.Main tips while adding first ads are

• Always select "text/Image ads" option when you create an ad unit.This might increase your revenue.
• Always keep minimum one ad in the first half of your site/blog.Meaning your page visitor should see the ad without scrolling till the end of the page.
• NEVER EVER CLICK ON YOUR OWN ADS.Once Google disable your account,you will never be able to get back to adsense program.
• Don't keep too many ads on the same page.Google gives you a limit for this 3 ad units,3 link units and 2 search boxes in one page.We suggest you not to use the maximum limit,because too many ads will make your web page/blog look cluttered.
• Try to match your ad units color theme with your web page's color theme.BUT DON'T CONFUSE THE VISITOR by placing the ad units between some links.
• Don't use 'CLICK HERE' Buttons or a text near google ad units.
• Don't try to edit ad unit's HTML scripts.
