How to stop others from stealing your content? How to report them?

Stealing is not so 'charmi'ng and it is not 'cool'!!

       If you are a blogger and if you have a post which attracts a lot of traffic,then you should be aware of blog thieves who might steal your blog posts or website content word-by-word.That too without giving you any credit.So i'm going to tell you how to deal with it.Some may suggest to blocking the 'right-click' option in the blog page.But i can't agree with this.

       I'm writing it from my personal experience.I have written a post about how to install whatsapp in Nokia Asha 200.And my blog was getting pretty good traffic too.But all of a sudden web traffic started to drop.After doing a little bit investigation,i found out that my blog post was stolen by a user who also happens to be the first person to post a comment and ask a doubt (Her comment is still there).My post was copied word-by-word.I don't know how many people knows that if there is an exact word-by-word copy of an article some where else,Google search engine consider your original post and the stolen material as less important.Gradually your post will stop to show up in Google searches.

       After doing some googling i found out that we can report the stealing to blogger.com and Google.And i did it.Hopefully they will take the action very soon.Now let me teach you how to report to blogger.com or google.com about your stolen blog post.

         Reporting alleged copyright infringement is very easy.But before that you have to be sure that your content or post was posted first.Not the other way.If you have stolen someone else' blog post and report it as if you are the original author,then your blogger account might get banned or Google will take legal actions against you. 

      All you have to do is fill up this form -- GOOGLE DMCA : Blogger

1. Type in your first and last name in the first box.
2. Type your blog name as 'company name in the second box if you want(not mandatory).
3. Enter the full name of you in the next box(if you own the blog).
4. Enter your gmail id in next box.
5. Select your country.
6. Paste the URL of your original post in the next box.
7. Fill up the second box by describing what has been stolen and who did it.If it is word-by-word you can write about that.
8. Copy the URL of the duplicate post from the thief's blog and paste it to the next box.
9. Check next two boxes to agree with their terms.
10. Enter the present date in the next box.
11. Type in your full name as signature.
12. Click SUBMIT.

Done!.You have reported about the copyright infringement to Google. Within some minutes you will receive an acknowledgement mail from Google.And wait for their next step.Don't worry be happy.

          Just like adfly, Linkbucks is also blocked by many Internet service providers in India.Sadly it effected so many bloggers.Govt might have blocked it to block a lot of porn content which is spreading through blogs.But one thing they forgot was to block those blogs and websites instead of blocking this advertising publishing websites.It's a court's decision and i'm leaving it to them.In an earlier post i explained how to unblock adfly in india and promised i will tell you how to unblock linkbucks link soon.Now let me tell you how to unblock your linkbucks advertising link if it placed in a non-adult('access for everyone' type) website.
 
         If you have placed it in a non-adult website,you will get a link in which there will be 'http://www.linkbucks.com' part in that code.What you have to do is very simple,wherever you see 'http://'  , change it to 'https://'.That is just add an 's' to it.

       But if you try to do it in adult websites,it won't work.Instead your link will get redirected to a corrupted page.And you might get banned soon.So don't take risk and get banned your accounts.

5 Important things to do to get approval from Google adsense

       'How to get approval from Google adsense?' is one of the  most searched questions in internet ever since Google adsense was launched.Google has certain policies or conditions on accepting blogs or websites for Google adsense.I'm going to explain some of the most important points from them.

#1 .Age of your blog/website

     Google never says anywhere in their conditions that your website/blog has to be certain days old to get approval from the Google adsense team.But it is safe to apply for Google adsense after 3 months you create your blog or website.You should utilize this time to create unique content and and increase the web traffic to your website or blog.But Google has a policy that if you are an Asian origin your blog or website should be 6 months old.It's pure racialism by the search giant but sorry to say that you have no other options.

#2.Quality Content

   Content in your website should be unique.It means you shouldn't just copy-paste content from other websites to create a fake web page.It should be clearly written in your words.Never apply for Google adsense with an empty webpage or blog.If you are a blogger you should have a minimum of 35 to 50 unique quality posts before you apply to Google adsense. That is why it is a good idea to take time and build a good blog with some loyal followers and good web traffic within the first 3-4 months.

#3.Clean design

     Clean webpage design is another factor which is really important in the case of Google adsense. Even though there are so many ad programs you can use parallel with Google adsense,it's good if you remove all of them just before you apply for Google adsense. Don't clutter your webpage with flashy banner ads or too bright fluorescent colors.And Google doesn't like too many exit links from your home page either.You can use any ad programs at the time period before you apply for Google adsense(first 3 to 6 months),if you are too desperate to make money from your blog or website.And you shouldn't sell backlinks on your website or blog.

#4.Search Engine Exposure(SEE)

  Even if you get approval from Google adsense,if you don't have any web traffic to your page you won't make any money.And most of the time Google reject webpages which doesn't have a minimum quality traffic.So i suggest you should really work on your search engine optimization(SEO) before you apply for Google adsense. You should submit your blog or website to many 'popular webpage directories'.And you should know 'how to increase organic web traffic to your blog or website?.'

#5.Form fill up

  Last but not the least,fill up the application form of Google adsense really carefully.You should give your real address and other details including full name.If you have any problems with your name then ask for help in Google adsense help forum.They are really fast in helping people especially regarding the names.

How to remove gradient from the blogger blog's tab bar ?

       
         After a short break,i was redesigning one of my blog which was hosted on blogspot.com.So when i selected a particular template i found out that some how the tab bar color is now having a white gradient across it.And i tried every options in the customize template section to remove it.None of them worked.
           Then i started google searching i found many pages which contained my keywords in google's different discuss forums.But when i click on those search results it goes to the home page of that forum.Its like google never knew what i was searching for.And none of the search forum's search bars works properly.Lets accept it,the search giant want to increase the traffic rate only to it's forum's home pages(for some unknown reason!!) and redirects you to it when you click on the search result link thinking you found the solution for your problem.

Does pop-up ads increase your ad revenue?

      So many people believes pop-up ads create more revenue share comparing to other type of ad units.But it's one of the biggest online advertising myth and the truth is entirely different.

         What those ads actually does is makes the visitor angry and it annoys them,stops them from reading your content and most of the readers/visitors leaves your page/site without even reading your post and they never comes back.So your greediness to earn some more cents caused you losing a reader and an impression maker for your other normal ad units displayed in the site.

The first and the most important advice i have to give beginners is keep your blog simple.Don't overdo it.Don't add lots of fancy widgets which is not useful.Don't use too many colors or too many font styles.It will make your reader hate your blog.They will never come back.So keep it simple.

It is very important to be social in online if you have a website or blog.This means keep visiting other blogs,comment there if you like it.Discuss about some topic(which you like) in online forums or comment boxes.Let the world feel your presence.(But Remember, Give respect,Take respect-Dont be a bully).And don't forget to leave your blog url there.
       Post links of other websites like Wikipedia or Google or any other high ranking website or blogs in your site as a blog roll or link list or include them in your posts.This will increase your page ranking and the traffic to your page.But remember don't post links of the websites which has copyright content,like imdb.com.Google adsense' privacy policy won't allow you to do  this.They will ban you.And don't expect people to follow you if you don't follow them.

 For example suppose your usual monthly average CTR is 25% and your December CTR is 45% so you might end up in January with a CTR of 10-15% .You may not feel that sudden drop if it is from 25% to 15%.But when it happens from 45% to 15%,it hurts..But my advice is just not to worry.It was meant to be happen.It happens every year with every ad publisher.But it will eventually pick up.Keep producing relevant and quality content and hope for the best.And never ever give up.

How to increase your blog traffic is a big question for many people.Web Traffic is one of the key elements to increase your earnings from your blog/website. Meaning,if there is no visitors then there is no income.


So by just creating a blog,nobody is going to visit your blog daily.You have to work really  hard for it.There are several ways to increase your blog traffic.I'm going to explain some of them in this post.

And remember after doing all these steps don't expect a sudden jump in a traffic next day.The increase happens gradually..You have to wait for that.

In this post i will give some Google adsense basic tips for beginners.So as i told in my previous post once you got approved by Google's adsense team you can start placing the ads.Main tips while adding first ads are

• Always select "text/Image ads" option when you create an ad unit.This might increase your revenue.
• Always keep minimum one ad in the first half of your site/blog.Meaning your page visitor should see the ad without scrolling till the end of the page.

• Try to match your ad units color theme with your web page's color theme.BUT DON'T CONFUSE THE VISITOR by placing the ad units between some links.
• Don't use 'CLICK HERE' Buttons or a text near google ad units.
• Don't try to edit ad unit's HTML scripts.
